He was predeceased by : his parents, Rudolph C. Nietfeld and Lillian Dankert Nietfeld; his daughter Patricia Caffery; and his brother Mert Nietfeld. He is survived by : his wife Betty L Avery; his children, John Nietfeld (Seda) of Raleigh, NC and Donna Long (Jeff) of McLean; his son-in-law Dennis Caffery (Diane) of Hopedale; his grandchildren, Beth Carter (Joe) of Frankfort, KY, Daniel Caffery of Indianapolis, IN, Kelsey Long-Pinsonnault (John) of Dallas, TX and Cody Long of McLean; his great grandchild Millie of Dallas, TX; and his sister Jan Reichardt of Aurora, NE..
