He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dowell and Lydia McMullen Dowell; and his siblings, Betty Spires and Daniel Dowell. He is survived by: his daughters, Shelby LaMothe (Brian), Jody Dowell and Carrie Tovrea (Rick); his grandchildren, Samantha LaMothe, Zach LaMothe, Clay LaMothe, Dylan Whisenand, Kelly Whisenand, Caleb Tovrea, Claudia Johnson and Lavena Tovrea; his sister Marjorie Blackford (Vern); and his sister-in-law Ellen Dowell. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
