She was predeceased by: her husband Cruz Cuaya Cuaya; her parents, Juan Castillo Aguilar and Maria Yáñez Merino; and her siblings, Carmen, Refugio, Guadalupe and Juan.
She is survived by: her children, Carmen, Rayo, Armando (Maru), Socorro, Alma and Clarita (Bob); her grandchildren, Maria of Deus, Adan, Zayil, Rayito, Omar, Daniel, Miriam, Brenda, Nathalie, Javier and Andy; and her great grandchildren, Rico, Benjamin, Mateo, Abigail, Quetzalli and Leilany.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church (301 S I Oka Ave, Mt Prospect, IL 60056). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
