Ben P. Schatz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ben P. Schatz of Des Plaines, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ben P. Schatz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schatz and Katherina Schatz; and his siblings, Andrew, Michael, Anton (Tony), Margaret (Gemma), Barbara, Frances, Mary and Odilia (Tillie).
He is survived by: his wife Alice Mae; and his children, Carol (David Rodgers), Joseph (Jeanne Duff), Julie (Peter Sussenguth), Thomas (Janet Fisher) and Leanne (Bruce Trela). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Oehler Funeral Home (2099 Miner St, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Church (794 Pearson St, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
