We announce the death of Howard Findlay (Des Plaines, Illinois), who passed away on July 31, 2026. Howard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Howard will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Howard will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Howard’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Janet Carriere (Marcel) of Ottawa; his daughter Karen Findlay (Mark Rose) of Toronto; his stepchildren, Leigh Gross (David) of Barrie and Christine van Voorst (Evert) of Barrie; and his grandchildren, Kristen, Becky, Sydney, Ian, Nate and Quincy.
A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Barrie Union Cemetery.
