With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margarita Hernandez (Des Plaines, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Margarita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Margarita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including her loving family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the River Woods Funeral Chapels (205 S River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (1170 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the All Saints Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
