We are sad to announce that, on February 2, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Sonia Nordlund of Des Plaines, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois. Though Sonia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sonia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Nordlund; her brother John Pieniadz Jr.; and her parents, John R. Sr. Pieniadz and Clara Pieniadz. She is survived by: her sons, Scott (Bunky) and Eric (Edna); and her grandchildren, Max and Katie.
