It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Annette Y. Vaughn of DeSoto, Illinois, born in North Prairie, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 86, on December 17, 2023. She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Walter and Bernice Griep (Orth); her husband Evan Eugene "Gene" Vaughn; and her siblings, Judy Obenauf, Jerome and Gerald Griep.

She is survived by : her daughter Debbie Cairns (Brian); her grandchildren, Dan Cairns, John Cairns (Ana) and Ryan Cairns; her great grandchildren, Madison Cairns, Agnes Cairns, Amiela Cairns and Walter Cairns; and her siblings, Darlene Dahm and Robert Griep (Lucille).

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Carterville First Baptist Church.
