We announce the death of Ronald L. Alstat (DeSoto, Illinois), who passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 82. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Alstat and Pauline Alstat (Taylor); his wife Sherry Alstat (Smith); his son Wayne Allen Alstat; his sisters, Shirley Kay Alstat and Doris Yates; and his stepson Dewayne Turner.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Turner; his daughter Tracee; his son-in-law John Foley of New Harmony, IN; his son Kent Alstat; his grandson Matthew McMurray (Emily Vallino); his great grandchildren, Keira of Austin, TX. and Kellan of Austin, TX.; his brother Steve Alstat (Corrine) of Duquoin, IL; his nieces and nephews, Leigh, Will, Erin and Janna; his stepchildren, Randy, Debbie and Missy; and his stepmother Sharon. He is also survived by 15 step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
