He was predeceased by: his parents, Hancel Penry and Genevieve Penry (Barwick). He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean Penry of DeWitt; his children, Michael Penry (Karla) of Heyworth and Gena Lagle of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Katelyn Penry Datweiler (Tate), Noah Penry, Bryant Lagle and Jarett Lagle (Lexi); his great grandchildren, Myla Datweiler and Leo Lagle; and his sister Janice McAdams (Carl) of DeSoto.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Flora, IL 62839). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oakland Cemetery (1100 N Oakland Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901).
Memorial donations may be made to the Flora High School Music Department and will be accepted at the funeral home.
