It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Connie Sue McWhorter of Dieterich, Illinois, who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence R. Depoister and Helen J. Depoister (Reinhardt); her sister Geraldine Metcalf; and her great grandchild Jedda Santos. She is survived by: her husband Charlie McWhorter; her daughter Vicki Whipple (Abie) of LaClede; her stepdaughter Angela Hamlin of Mountain View; her sister Judy Krone (Leroy) of Teutopolis; her grandchildren, Torry Whipple (Kelly) and Marissa Santos, Jr. (Adrian); her great grandchildren, Tinley Santos, Connie Santos, MacKenzie Whipple, Alana Whipple and Abie Whipple IV; and her stepgranddaughter Cheyenne Mines. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and family friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Keen's Chapel Cemetery (375 Buck Ln, Farina, IL 62838).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to Keen's Chapel Cemetery or donor's choice.
