She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hemmen and Anna Hemmen (Waldhoff); her husband Kenneth P. Niemerg; her great grandchild Gavin Corum; and her siblings, Helen Schumachar, Caroline Verdeyen and Hank Hemmen.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Debbie) of Teutopolis, Debbie Koester (Randy) of Teutopolis, Duane (Annette) of Dieterich, Darin (Lisa) of Teutopolis, Bridget Whiteside (Nick) of O'Fallon, IL, Brenda Hunzinger (Steve) of Dieterich and Brad of St. Louis; her siblings, Lucy Uptmor, Pauline Hoedebecke, Frank Hemmen Jr. and John Hemmen; and her sister-in-law Rosie Schumacher. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
