He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Hay Springer (Bryan) and Douglas Hay (Kathryn); his grandchildren, Griffin Hay (Jay), Keaton Hay (Jordan) and Kristin Peck; his goddaughter Wendy Monahan Jones (Todd); and his brother Allan Hay (Gail). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Salvation Army or First United Methodist Church.
