He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Tinsley and Alta Tinsley (Correll); and his siblings, Kenneth Tinsley, George Tinsley and Wilma Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Tinsley (Maurice Jones) of Mt. Vernon and Bryan Tinsley (Amy Vohlken) of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Clayton Tinsley (Tori) of St. Louis, Missouri and Kyla Tinsley of Mt. Vernon; his great grandchild Nathaniel James Tinsley; his sister Nellie Mellott; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Jones, Ruby Tinsley of Mt. Vernon and Judy Tinsley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
