He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Augustine, Inez Cantu, Arturo and Pauline Chacon; and his mother-in-law Teresa Dunphy.
He is survived by: his parents, Maria De and Cantu Chacon; his wife Dana J. Dunphy; his children, Brenan Chacon (Mackenzie Nickens) and Lauren Chacon (Meghan Holtswarth); his siblings, Debora Trancoso (John) and J. A. Dominic Chacon; his aunt Sylvia Rogers (Dan Koeppen); and his father-in-law Hubert Dunphy. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Ltd. (213 Crawford Ave, Dixon, IL 61021). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (612 Highland Ave, Dixon, IL 61021). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (416 S Dement Ave, Dixon, IL 61021).
