It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ethel Steder of Dixon, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 103, on July 26, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Ethel farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ethel is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Helfrich and Mildred "Millie" Helfrich (Fisher); her husband Herbert R. Steder; and her stepson Dennis Steder. She is survived by: her stepsons, Larry Steder (Sandra) and Steve Steder (Linda).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Ltd. (213 Crawford Ave, Dixon, IL 61021). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (1121 N Galena Ave, Dixon, IL 61021).
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.
