In the vast expanse of eternity, John Wayne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Wayne farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Lee and Elizabeth Ashby (McCluney); and his aunt Faye. He is survived by: his sons, John Ashby Jr. (Lila) of Eveleth and Jason Ashby (Michelle) of Dixon; his sister Ann Mansel of Mumford, TN; and his grandchildren, Ashley Cluck, Derek Ashby, Nickolas Ashby, Barbara Zigler, Danielle Lowery, Eric Lowery and Rhea Ashby. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
