He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Bowers and Opal Bowers (Thompson). He is survived by : his siblings, Jerry "Lips" Bowers (Jill) and Scott Bowers (Wendy); his wife Debra L. Sippel; his children, Heather L. Johns (Troy) and Matthew J. Bowers (Victoria); his grandchildren, Carter, Chloe and Kelvin; and his brother Rick Bowers (Deb A.).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Dixon Park District to plant trees or the Dixon Church of the Brethren.
