She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thornton and Betty Thornton (McDonald). She is survived by: her husband Wayne Brown; her children, Becky Ritter (Chris) and Jeff Brown (Kim); her grandchildren, Hannah, Isaac, Sarah (Bill), Samuel, Jacob, Steven and Micah; and her siblings, Sue Treece and Jim Thornton. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crain Funeral Home - Dongola (106 NW Front St, Dongola, IL 62926). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. John's Cemetery.
The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dongola.
