With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen L. Ross of Dowell, Illinois, born in Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford I. Martie and Helen M. Martie (Williams); her daughter Rhonda Bombardo; and her siblings, Myra Sue Martie and Donald Wayne Martie.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph W. Ross; her children, Jody Compton (Troy) of Dowell and Ralph Ross, Jr. of Dowell; her grandchildren, Stephenie Moore (Rocky) of Tuscola, IL, Ross Cook (Sara) of Tuscola, IL, Nicole Messer (Chris) of Elkville, Megan Holford of Dowell and Gina Canfield (Stone) of Dowell; and her great grandchildren, Brookelynn Messer, Lucas Messer, Mason Veach, Emily Veach, Jordana Moore, Castiel Canfield, Sage Canfield, Lilla Cook, Vivienne Cook, Tess Cook and Josette Cook.
