He is survived by: his mother-in-law Barbara Ann Smith (Schemm); his children, Randall Scott Smith and Samantha Melissa Behensky; his grandchildren, Sierra Renee Nieuwsma (Smith) and Whitney Lynn Smith; and his great grandchild James Randall Nieuwsma.
