He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward Carey and Lillian Telleson Fitzgerald Carey; his brothers, Jack (Sue), Jim, Mike (Sue) and Tom (Peggy); and his son Jim (Amy).
He is survived by: his sisters, Kathleen and Sheila; his wife Amber Jean Carey (Radtke); his children, Arianne (Katie Ragen), Brian (Kat), Sheila (Ron Trussell) and Jack (Katie); and his grandchildren, McKinley (Dallin), Ragen, Allen, Aniston, Hope, John, Nola, Cecilia, Eelyn and Edward.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary (2140 N Washington Blvd, North Ogden, UT 84414). A Mass was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (514 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401). A burial was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ogden City Cemetery (1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lantern House in Ogden would be grand, but also consider sharing a smile or a kind word with people out in the world.
