It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Johnson (Downers Grove, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 26, 2023, leaving to mourn his wife, Geraldine (Dalla Betta) Johnson, his children: Denise (Ed) Hren, Renee (Rob) Sipek, Lawrence (Jill) Dalla Betta - his grandchildren: Eddie (Steph) Hren, Larry (Lisa) Hren, Joey (Carrie) Hren, Justin (Cora) Hren, Bobby Sipek, Larry (Caitlyn) Dalla Betta, Nicole Dalla Betta, David (Maria Gaertner), and Justin (Paige) Gaertner- his great grandchildren: Eddie IV (Emily), Corgan, and Annie Hren, Summer Hren, Caden Bangs, Zoey Hren, Lilly and Easton Hren, Eli Gaertner, Callie and Landry Gaertner- his sister Cheryl (and the late Bob) Rice, his late brother Howard (Sharon) Johnson- son of the late George and Estelle Johnson. He was the uncle of many and he was very loved and respected by his friends and family. Cremation by Illinois Cremation Society of Lombard and his celebration of life was private.
