With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Richard Waters (Downers Grove, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Relk Waters and Grace; and his brother Timothy. He is survived by: his spouse Gail Joanne Waters (Pecis); his daughter Laura Grace Waters Huddleston (Jeffrey Robert Huddleston); his grandchildren, Sonoma Grace and Gareth James; his son Brian Christopher Waters (Jessica Ann Waters); and his grandchildren, Mya Grace and Isabelle Marie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church (1032 Maple Ave, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's honor to Breakthrough T1D, in recognition of his brother's journey with type 1 diabetes.
