As we bid adieu to Jose's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jose has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alicia Torres; his daughters, Cecilia VanGetson (Aaron) and Christina Satizabal-Torres (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Stefan, Marcus, Graham VanGetson, Nicolás and Dahlia Satizabal-Torres; and his siblings, Hector Torres (Susan) and Laura Regalado (late Fernando).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Gall's Church (5511 S Sawyer Ave, Chicago, IL 60629).
