It is with sadness that the passing of Joyce E. O'Connor in Downers Grove, Illinois is shared. Joyce, born on November 7, 1935, passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Chvatal and Rose Chvatal (Graton); her sister Alyce (Hester); and her son Michael. She is survived by: her husband James O'Connor (Jim); her children, Thomas (Barbara), Laura, Robert (Dawn) and Kathleen (Thomas Ryan); and her grandchildren, Emma (David), Kailey, Andrew, Ashley and Jack.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home (17W201 Roosevelt Rd, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181).
