Myra M. Hernandez Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myra M. Hernandez of Downers Grove, Illinois, who passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Hernandez Sr.; her parents, Raymond Penzel and Margaret Buck; her stepmother Lorainne Penzel; her sister LaDona LoCiero; and her stepbrother John Penzel.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Hernandez Jr. (Pam), Kathleen Hernandez, Mary (Robert Ruschke Sr.) and Robert Hernandez (Margaret); and her grandchildren, Christopher Hernandez (Michelle), Roberta Ruschke (Xavier Tuggles), Jessica (Gary Krusenoski), Devin Hernandez (Alexandra), Thomas Ruschke (Megan), Emily (Dylan Bridges), Robert Ruschke Jr., Connor Hernandez, Molly Hernandez and Erin. She is also survived by her sisters, brother in laws, sister in laws, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in her honor; a gesture she would have treasured.
