With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Hrdina of Downers Grove, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2025 at the age of 72. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katherine Marie Hrdina; his children, Eric Hrdina (Dorothy), Luke Hrdina (Ruta) and Katherine Saweikis (Patrick); his grandchildren, Aliana, Eric Joseph, Anthony Hrdina, Emilia, Melissa, Victoria Hrdina, Veronica, Paul, Simon and Katherine Therese Saweikis; and his siblings, George Hrdina (Maggie) and Christine Bermes (Bill).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Adams-Winterfield and Sullivan Funeral Home (4343 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515). A Mass was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (4801 Main St, Downers Grove, IL 60515).
