He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hockhalter and Eulalar Hockhalter (Gilbert); his parents-in-law, John and Lee Fleming; his aunts, Kay Niles (Hockhalter), Christina Hockhalter of Bellevue, WA and Beatrice Barnes (Gilbert) of Pauline, SC; his uncle Hubert Gilbert; his children-in-law, Darren Blaski and Brenda Jone Northcoat Smith; and his sons, Michael Eric and Daniel Alan Hockhalter.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, John Hockhalter of Park City, UT and Karin Blaski; his granddaughters, Irina of Rockford, IL and Clarissa Blaski of Rockford, IL; his siblings-in-law, Ralph Fleming (Opal) and Maureen Bialecki (Ray); and his cousin Jessica Barnes of Pauline, SC..
