He is survived by: his nephews, Joel Maurer (Helen) and Gary Maurer; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Thomas Mulroy, Karen Mulroy and Lynne Smuskiewicz (David); and his grandchildren, Jamie Smuskiewicz, Rachel Smuskiewicz and Logan Alalouf-Mulroy.

“Bob was my neighbor for almost 40 years. During the last decade, he became my good friend. Bob and I would have marathon “chat” sessions almost every week-discussing his time in the military, current events, and other topics. Up to the very end of Bob’s life, he was sharp as a tack mentally. He was truly an inspiring and amazing person. I miss having him as my neighbor and friend.
