We announce the death of Martha Jane Schroeder of Downs, Illinois, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 75. Martha Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Siegfried Kilander and Mary Kilander; and her siblings, Robert Kilander (Margo) of Willowbrook, Illinois and Mary Clevenger (David) of Westmont, Illinois.. She is survived by: her husband Myron Schroeder; her children, Leslie Papp, Kyle Schroeder (Robyn) and Darcie Culbertson-Schroeder; her grandchildren, Ashton Papp, James Papp, Riley Jane Schroeder, Tristen Hall (Saegan) and Emma Culbertson; and her brother Donald Kilander (Jo) of Fargo.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Country Club (901 E Richardson St, Farmer City, IL 61842).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Martha's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Special Olympics, Pet Central Helps, or Faith in Action of McLean County.
