It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald G. Heitkamp of Du Bois, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Heitkamp and Ruth Heitkamp (Quinn); and his siblings, Audrey Watts, Eileen Lynch and Jerry Heitkamp.
He is survived by: his children, Kym Heitkamp (Ken Powless) of Central City and Craig Heitkamp of Central City; his grandchildren, Travis Lavin (Beth) of Reno, NV, Joe Loera (Lisa) of Evansville, IL and Lacy Heitkamp of Salem; his great grandchildren, Gwen Loera, Ava Newcomb, Emma Britton and Aiden Heitkamp; and his sibling's children, Lisa Henson (Dane) of Herrin and Kirk Watts (Dahlia Chapman) of Walnut Hill.
