He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee and Mable Perkey (Slover); his daughters, Lisa Marie Perkey and Sheila Kay Sims; his granddaughter Erika Sims; and his siblings, Roger Perkey, Bobby Perkey, Norma Heatherly, Linda Restoff and Betty Scronce.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Stanhouse; his daughter Robin Ridgeway (Forrest) of Du Quoin; his grandsons, Forrest Ridgeway, III of Du Quoin, Bryce Ridgeway of Du Quoin and Jacob Bealer (Kaylee Horton) of Galatia; his sisters, Patty Crowe of Murphysboro, Judy Rybacki (Leonard) of Du Quoin, Donna Ripley (Gene) of Murphysboro and Connie Smith (Chuckie) of Du Quoin; and his sister-in-law Pat Perkey of Pinckneyville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Searby Funeral Homes (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832).
Friends may make memorials to VA Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
