With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry B. Williams of Du Quoin, Illinois, who passed away on February 4, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Williams, and Gwenavere A. Williams, Jr. (Smith); his nephew James Williams; and his brother-in-law Gayle H. Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Whitman; his sons, Brad Williams, Michael Williams (Kathy) of Herrin, IL and Robert Williams (Amy) of Du Quoin; his stepdaughters, Koreen Gray of Roy, WA and Kelly Whitman of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Megan Kavanaugh (Patrick) of Mansfield, TX, Avery Williams of Du Quoin, Sofie Williams of Du Quoin, Jameson R. Williams of Du Quoin, Madalyn Gray of Puyallup, WA, Lauren Gray Stredicke (Eli) of Bellingham, WA and R. Aaron Gray (Sarah) of New Orleans, LA; his great grandchildren, Jay Kavanaugh, Ellis Kavanaugh and Joan Stredicke; his siblings, Patricia James (Lonnie) of Du Quoin and Jeffrey Williams (Rosann) of Alexandria, VA; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Ellis of Canton, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may make memorials to Du Quoin Methodist Church or VA Hospice CLC Marion and will be accepted at the funeral home.
