He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Coffel and Jessie Coffel (Brayfield); and his siblings, Dale Coffel, Claude Coffel, Jerry Coffel and Lois Wallace.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Coffel (Norris); his children, Rhonda Fleming (John) of Louisville and Kevin Coffel (Debbie) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Heather Willis (Brock), Amber Sargent, Brandon Coffel (Skylar), Katrina Griffith and Jeremy Griffith (Chrissy); his great great grandchildren, Katlyn Toliver (Kane), Brooklyn, Addison Willis, Melody, Titus Sargent, Ethan, Paisley Coffel, Lydia, Jack O'Connor, Chase and Penelope Griffith; and his brother-in-law Mark Norris (Tina). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gospel Assembly Church (705 E Main St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
