She was predeceased by: her father Marvin D. Maye; her uncles, Fred Starr and Paul McLaughlin; and her sister Jacqueline Lingerfelt. She is survived by: her mother Jeanette Starr Maye (Thompson) of DuQuoin, IL; her wife Chasty Maye of DuQuoin, IL; her daughters, Evey of DuQuoin, IL and Hayden Rucks of DuQuoin, IL; her mother-in-law Marla Vancil of DuQuoin, IL; her siblings, Michael Maye (Crystal) of Sesser, IL, Daniel Thompson of DuQuoin, IL, Joel Maye, William Maye, Mary Ann Maye of DuQuoin, IL, Faye Young and Hope Hellermann; and her aunt Bobbie Starr of DuQuoin, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pyatt Funeral Home (138 E Perry St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
