Roger James Harris Obituary

The memory of Roger James Harris (Du Quoin, Illinois), who passed away on September 18, 2025 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie "Peg" Harris and Maxine Harris (Clampet); his son Roger William Harris; his siblings, Carl Moss, John Harris and Jean Krug; his brother-in-law Charles Garavaglia; his nieces and nephews, Zeke Moss, Chuck Pitman, Chuck Garavaglia, Cissy Huggins, Janice Graff and Debbie Moss; and his close friend George Elder.

He is survived by: his caregiver Peggy Sue Gossage (Charles) of Cleburne, IL; his siblings, Phil Moss (Debbie) of Mt. Vernon, IN and Linda Garavaglia of Herrin, IL; his sisters-in-law, Pam Moss and Janice Harris; his granddaughters, Brittany and Nikki Harris of Mississippi; his great grandchildren, Lestat, Brooklyn, Allanah and Naomi; and his close friends, Jaclyn Mondino Davis, Hannah Boyd, Darla McGinnis Impson and Muhammed Popalzai. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Roger asks that any donations be made to the SIH Cancer Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
