She is survived by: her children, Doris Messer of Du Quoin, Sandy Pelka of Royalton and Larry Bird of Du Quoin; her grandchildren, Travis Messer, Emery Messer, Cora Bird, Cody Bird, Tyler Bird, Valerie Bird, Jennifer Bird, Harry Pelka, Melissa Pelka and Roseann Pelka; and her siblings, Glenda Doerflein of Du Quoin, Sharon Sizemore of Du Quoin, Charles Scarber of Du Quoin and Richard Scarber of Du Quoin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Searby Funeral Homes (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
