It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon R. Woolsey (Du Quoin, Illinois), who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon R. Woolsey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Parks and Imogene Parks (Malcom); her former husband Jack Hartkopf; her husband James Woolsey; and her sister Phyllis Stotlar.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Woolsey of Du Quoin, Cindy Chapman (Rod) of Du Quoin and Kathy Carson (Don) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Zachary Calvert, Lindsey Murray (Tyson), Travis Chapman (Bri), Olivia Chapman and Abigail Carson; her great grandchildren, Emmie Jo Murray, Jake Murray, Phoebe Murray, Coulter Chapman, Neera Chapman and Rory Chapman; and her sibling's children, Robin Stapleton and Tim Stotlar.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Searby Funeral Homes (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
