He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd A. and Mary E. Valier (Marlow); his wife Barbara L. Armstrong; and his siblings, Richard Valier, Marjorie Prior, Ruth Ann Farmer and Mary Jane Lee.
He is survived by: his sons, Larry Valier (Lisa) of Du Quoin and Steven Valier (Jami) of Du Quoin; his grandchildren, Joshua Valier (Bethany) of Du Quoin, Jessica Hamburger (Josh) of Du Quoin, Jacob Valier (Kate) of Du Quoin, Lane Valier of Du Quoin and Sydney Valier Menckowski (Shawn) of Du Quoin; his great grandchildren, Liam Valier, Laine Valier, Carleigh Hamburger, Lauren Valier and Callan Hamburger; his sister Frances Milam; and his brother-in-law James Farmer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Nine Mile Baptist Church (6684 IL-154, Tamaroa, IL 62888). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to the Nine Mile Baptist Church and will be accepted at the church or funeral home.
