It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donna Louise McCarty of Dunlap, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Slater and Ducky "Ruth" Slater (Butler); her children, Karla McCarty and Darren McCarty; and her siblings, Helen, Betty, Darlene, Carl, Bobby, Johnny and Donald.

She is survived by: her husband Martin McCarty; her son Aaron McCarty (Tammy) of Mackinaw; her grandchildren, Meagan, Shane, Zac, Hunter, Garrick, Dylan, Tyler and Keegan; her great grandchildren, Jovie and Spencer; and her brothers, Charles Slater of Shepherdsville, KY and Larry Slater of Quincy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
