He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lenz Counsil and Arlene Stover Counsil; his wife Kathryn Bontjes; his sons, Ed Counsil III (Sara) of Dunlap, IL and Lenz Counsil (Tracy) of Woodridge, IL.; his grandchildren, Eddie, Zoie, Sierra, Elwood, Zachary and Madeline; and his sisters, Patricia Goodrich of Michigan and Susanna Counsil of Lock Haven, PA. He was also cherished by two nieces and two nephews.
