Ivan E. Rickey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivan E. Rickey of Dunlap, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ivan and Violet "Dolly" Rickey (Bland); and his former wife Verna Wys. He is survived by: his wife Carol Newell (Potter); his children, Dennis Rickey (Debbie) of Dunlap, Jim Rickey (Louise) of Princeville and Linda Hannah (Clint) of Varna; his grandchildren, Cole, Blair (Josh), Grant (Courtney), Stacey (Tyler), Erin and Caitlin; and his sister Beverly Rickey of Chillicothe. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church or Dunlap Fire and Rescue.
