With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Mulay of Dunlap, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 6, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Joseph III; and his brother Jim Mulay. He is survived by: his mother Rita Mulay III (Plaza); his wife Mary Mulay; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Schmitt, Nancy Dewitt (Kevin), Chris Schmitt (Diane), David Schmitt and Matt Schmitt; and his nieces and nephews, Sarah Schmitt, McKenna Schmitt, Avalynn Schmitt, Ashlee Conover, Kimberlee Conover, Michael Schmitt, Chris Schmitt Jr., Andrew Schmitt, Matthew Schmitt Jr., Joey and Jacob.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Church or IL Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) https://www.ilcops.org..
