Thomas will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Thomas is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Thomas’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Craig Stephenson and Jessica Stephenson; his grandson Byron Jorgensen; his aunt Marvel Varland; his cousin Jim Varland; his wife Evelyn Stephenson (Huddleston); his uncle David Varland; and his parents, Evelyn Stephenson (Huff) and John "Jack" Stephenson.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (10811 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of sending flowers, preferred memorials in Tom's memory may be made to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
