The passing of Gregory Steward of Durand, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 46. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Joyce Steward (Carlton); his grandparents, Bill, Arlene Steward, Richard and Roma Carlton; his uncle Rick Carlton; and his grandparents-in-law, Carol and Duane Kinney.
He is survived by: his father Keith Steward; his wife Jamie Hanner; his children, Jeremiah (Cassidee) and Olivia; his siblings, Heather Page, Stephanie Johnson and Eric (Keiti); his parents-in-law, Patti and Steve Hanner of Durand; and his siblings-in-law, Adam Hanner (Stacey) and Kira Tullis (Randy). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and several close friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Durand American Legion (211 N State St, Durand, IL 61024). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Durand Township Cemetery (15613 Durand Rd, Durand, IL 61024). During the covid pandemic, Greg spent his days homeschooling his daughter.
