We announce the death of Thomasetta Chilton (Durand, Illinois), who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Thomasetta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Matuszewski and Jennie Matuszewski; her husband Norman Chilton; and her brother Gerry Matuszewski. She is survived by: her children, Melinda Chilton (Andy Goldberg) and Eric Chilton; her grandsons, Eli and Waylon; her siblings, Mary Ann Hughes (Mike) and Larry Matuszewski; her pet Angus; Logan and Jenn Haughton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Durand United Methodist Church (102 E Main St, Durand, IL 61024). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
