It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher M. Jirus of Dwight, Illinois, born in Winfield, Illinois, who passed away on July 19, 2020, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his parents, Jeanette Bennett (Doug) and Michael Jirus; his brothers, Jeremy Jirus of Sullivan, MO and Nathan Jirus of Pontiac, IL; his half-brothers, Mike Jirus of Sullivan, MO and Matthew Jirus of Sullivan, MO; and his stepbrothers, Daryl Bennett (Barb) of Pontiac, IL and Brian Bennett (Tarah) of Pontiac, IL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“i want to tell everyone he is truly missed by me i had 2 good years with him and had become my sidekick when it came time for me to snack on my snacks he was always there with his half grin face that made it all worth knowing him he had his bad days and his really good days and it didn't matter which i always had my time with him i am blessed to have known him and cared for him he had become part of my family also he will be missed now and forever thanks for letting me take care of him”
