He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Halbert and Marcella Halbert (Crane); and his wife Kathy Halbert (Byrd). He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Halbert of Kincaid, Justin Halbert of Montgomery, Felicia Patel (Hemant) of Chicago and Kara Halbert of Gardner; his stepdaughter Erin "Nickie" Kruger of Odell, Illinois; his grandchildren, Maria Tortorice, Kaileb Kruger, Korbin Lemay, Ivy Tillack, Sophia and Mia Patel; his great grandchildren, Angelo and Karmello Washington; his siblings, Gary Halbert (Dorothy) of Streator, John Halbert (Elizabeth) of Kincaid and Becky Boutwell (Larry) of San Antonio, Texas; and his close friends, Mark, Donna German, Ray and Carol Dippon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calendar Reeves Funeral Home (203 Liberty St, Gardner, IL 60424).
