He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kidd and Margaret Kidd (Foulk); his son Elwood Kidd Jr.; and his sister Elaine Swope. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Kidd of Earlville, IL; his children, James Kidd (Nancy) of Earlville, IL, David Kidd (Laura Hale) and Beth Hubbard (David) of Earlville, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon Kidd, Brittany Klein (Tyler), Katelynn Hartman (Drew), Kersten Walter (Jaime), Jason Kidd (Nicole), Jessica Kidd, Trevor Buffington and Austin Buffington (Graciela Michel); and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Claire, Jameson, Madelyn, Isabelle and Kylie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home (800 Monroe St, Mendota, IL 61342). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (607 10th Ave, Mendota, IL 61342).
